Congratulations to the WOCCISD Student of the Month for September. Nia Lewis was recognized for the honor at this week's meeting of the Board of Trustees. Nia is very kind, considerate, and is very connected to fellow West Orange-Stark High School students, as well as the community. She is always available for advice or help. Additionally, she is positive, outgoing, and an outstanding Mustang!

Congratulations to the WOCCISD Student of the Month for October, Trinity Rine! This West Orange-Stark Middle School Stallion does it all. She is a cheerleader; and, she is a member of the volleyball and track teams. Trinity also excels academically. She is a member of the honor roll. We are incredibly proud of this competitive young Stallion, and look forward to watching her fulfill her potential as a WOS Mustang!

Makensley Bell is the WOCCISD Student of the Month for November 2019. This West Orange-Stark Elementary student has a classroom work ethic that makes her an excellent peer role model. She is a hard worker who is always on top of her homework. Even when an assignment is challenging, Makensley never gives up and rises to the occasion. We are proud to recognize this outstanding student. Congratulations!

Congratulations, Mustang Academy Student of the Month for February!
Megan Dorantes entered the Mustang Academy in September of 2019 after dropping out of high school in the spring of 2019. She desired a smaller environment where she could focus on her studies and gain her diploma at her own pace. She completed all coursework in January 2020, including passing the U. S. History STAAR EOC in December of 2019. Megan is the very first of the Mustang Academy graduates. She is pictured with AAC Coordinator, Christina Anderson, and Superintendent, Dr. Rickie Harris.

Elton Hajdari is a 6th-grade student who excels in almost everything he does. He is willing to go the extra mile to help out. He makes good grades and has amazing classroom behavior. He is a member of the TAME team (Texas Alliance for Minorities in Engineering). During the Regional competition, Elton received the judges' choice for his Engineer Design Challenge. He also placed 4th in the Science portion and placed 3rd in Math. Elton also received the 6th ACE award which is only awarded to one student from each grade level(academic excellence award). Elton will be advancing to the State Competition in April.
