Each month, West Orange - Cove CISD is pleased to recognize a SUPER Fan in front of the WOCCISD Board of Trustees.
Super Fans are nominated on-line and presented with a Certificate of Recognition.

June 2017: Judy Turner is a Mustang Super Fan! Ms. Turner has held the same reserved seats for football since 1985 and she attends all of the Mustang baseball games. She always has encouraging and inspiring words to share with our players and enjoys cheering them on to success. Congratulations to Ms. Turner!

June 2017: Gordan Anthony is a Mustang Super Fan! He was recognized with the honor at a School Board meeting at the end of June. He is a season football ticket holder of 20+ years and doesn't miss a game -- home or away. You will always find him in the stands cheering for the Mustangs or in the community sharing his love for the Mustangs with everyone he meets.

May 2017: Congratulations to Mustang Super Fan James "Huggie" Brown! He is a member of the West Orange – Stark High School Class of 2001 and a member of the 2000 state finalist football team. He was also a member of the baseball team which advanced to the playoffs during his senior year. Although he has worked in Houston for the last ten years, he is always here for the first varsity football game of the season and for cross-town rivalry games. He also attends all of the playoff football games and follows other Mustang athletic programs, as well.

May 2017: Eugene Gill is a Mustang Super Fan! He is a member of the West Orange – Stark High School Class of 2011. While at WOS, he was active in Student Council, Key Club, National Honor Society, Tennis, Golf, and other activities. Even though he was five hours away from WOS during a portion of college, he consistently drove in for football, basketball, baseball, and other Mustang events to support our students and school. He is now back in Orange, a Youth Minister, and remains a loyal, Mustang Super Fan.

April 2017: Congratulations to Mustang Super Fan Shirley Teal! Ms. Teal is loyal employee of West Orange – Cove CISD. She has been with the district for over 40 years. She currently is a clerk typist at West Orange - Stark High School, but has also worked in the computer lab. She is devoted to our community and students; and, is a very loyal football fan. She is also a graduate of M.B. North High School. Congrats, Ms. Teal!

April 2017: Congratulations to Mustang Super Fan Greta Wilson! She is a 1985 Mustang Alumnae and is a true Mustang. She is the parent of two Mustang graduates, and has additional children in the district. She attends every football game, no matter what. She has also been a member of the band and filly booster organizations. She has always been there to provide a ride home to students that might need transportation. She believes in encouraging our students to make right choices.

March 2017: London Stroud, a WOS Elementary Fourth Grade student is as a Mustang Super Fan. She carries on the proud tradition of the Mustang Family at district sporting and educational events. You will always find her proudly outfitted in Mustang gear and displaying signs of support for our students and teams. She is also involved in National Honor Society, Robotics, UIL Spelling, and is engaged in the community. She represents the very best of the future of our community. Congratulations London and Go Mustangs!

February 2017: Sarah Gregory is a Mustang Super Fan! Sarah currently has children in our school system at the Elementary School and at the High School. You can find her cheering at her children’s events --- band, tennis, and city league.
You will also find her at other Mustang events encouraging the children of Mustang friends and neighbors. She is a great supporter of our children! She was presented with the honor by Superintendent Rickie Harris.

February 2017: Angelique Cook was recognized as a Mustang Super Fan by WOCCISD Superintendent Rickie Harris. She is a graduate of the West Orange – Stark High School Class of 2001 where she served as a lieutenant of the Fillies Drill Team. She "bleeds blue." During football season, she attended every single football game and provided Facebook game updates for Facebook Friends unable to attend. She is a true WOS Fan and will always be a Mustang! Congratulations on your Super Fan honor.

January 2017: Kristi Neff is a Mustang Super Fan! She loves and supports her Mustangs and bleeds blue. You will find Ms. Neff supporting her daughter’s choir and theater art events. You will also find her cheering for Mustangs at events in which her child is not participating. She followed the Mustang State Championship football team this fall. This semester, she will be cheering on our basketball, baseball, and softball teams. Ms. Neff is also a graduate of the Mustang Class of 1991. Go Mustangs!

November 2016: Congratulations to Ms. Phillis Chavis on her recognition as a Mustang Super Fan! She is a proud Mustang grandmother. She is also willing to assist any Mustang student anyway that she can. Go Mustangs!

November 2016: Terranesia Guity was also recognized as a Mustang Super Fan this month. Ms. Guity supports not only her children, but all of the Mustangs at every event that she attends. It does not matter the location or time of the event --- if Mustangs are involved, she will be there, cheering for the ‘Stangs!!!

October 2016: Ricky Jacobs is the October WOCCISD Super Fan! He has been a Super Fan for years and can be found on the sidelines of every varsity West Orange - Stark High School football game. Mr. Jacobs sets up and takes down the inflatable helmet which the team uses as their entryway onto the field at the beginning; and, again, at the beginning of the second half of the game. On weekends, he handles the drying out and storage of the inflatable. Additionally, he serves as a judge at the annual Mustang Invitational Powerlifting Meet.

September 2016: Congratulations to Marvin Antoine! He is a Mustang Super Fan and was officially recognized as such in front of the Board of Trustees. Mr. Antoine was a Super Fan before his son graduated in 2001 and he still is today. He attends all games and is always up-to-date on player and team stats.
