This past Saturday, our West Orange-Stark Theatre department competed in the UIL 4A District 18 One-Act Play contest with their performance of "The Legend of Rob 'N Banks." The show was filled with great performances, lots of humor, clever wordplay, cool effects, an awesome set, and so much more! Congratulations to the whole cast and crew for putting on a great show!
And a special shoutout to these three students for earning individual awards for their standout work: Charles Smith, earning an All-Star Cast award; Emmitt Nunez, earning an All-Star Tech award; and Tristan Odom, receiving an honorable mention.

West Orange-Stark High School students LaNiya Marks, Kelan Thomas, and Kwalin Dugas represented the Mustangs at this year's Phi Delta Kappa's Xinos & Kudos Southwest Region Youth Leadership Conference in Shreveport. This event gives students from Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, and Arkansas the opportunity to gather and discuss current events and issues from their perspective. They also toured Southern University Shreveport Louisiana and received Academic Excellence awards for maintaining a 3.5 GPA or higher during the fall semester!
