Mr. Perry's Career Investigations class at West Orange-Stark Middle School recently completed their shoebox projects. 🎨
Students researched a career they'd like to pursue, then used their skills and creativity to build a shoebox scene for the job. They provided details about job requirements, duties, salary information, and why that particular career interested them.
Judges were on hand to rank the displays against a rubric; the display chosen as the best will win a prize!

WOSHS Cosmetology students represented Mustang Nation at the 82nd Convention of the Texas State Association and Beauty Culturalist League! This annual event gave our aspiring stylists a chance to connect with other professionals in the field and learn more about beauty culture.

Attention WOSE Parents! Here's your reminder that Fall Picture Day is tomorrow! Make sure your child is dressed to impress and ready to give a big smile!
This morning, Superintendent Dr. Alicia Sigee met with students at West Orange-Stark Middle School for a Student Roundtable. Students from each grade level had the opportunity to give their perspective on the issues affecting their campus, share what improvements they'd like to see, and ask questions directly to the Superintendent. Hearing from students helps the administration understand the impact district and campus policies have on students' day-to-day learning, and empowers students to make their voice heard in shaping their learning environment.
The roundtable will reconvene later in the school year to evaluate the progress made since this first meeting. Thanks to all the Stallions who participated and work hard every day to build #MustangMomentum.
In honor of Fire Prevention Week, the Orange Fire Department paid a visit to North Early Learning Center to teach students about what to do if they see a fire, the tools and equipment firefighters use to put out fires, and to not be afraid of firefighters when they're geared up. Students got to ask questions and walk around the fire truck
!
The firefighters even apprehended a microwave that went rogue during their visit. 🚒

All week long, we'll be celebrating our seniors as they take their next steps after high school. We'll have spirit days, college application help, prizes, giveaways, a photo booth, special visitors, and a Senior Celebration on Friday!
And seniors... there's a challenge for you! 👀🍦
🎯 SENIOR SUNDAES CHALLENGE: If 90% of the Senior Class applies to at least ONE college, university, or trade school, the senior class earns a Senior Sundaes Ice Cream Party! We'll track your progress throughout the week, so every application counts!
HERE'S WHAT'S HAPPENING:
🟡🔴🟢 MONDAY – CCMR COLOR WARS
Show us your plans after high school!
🟡 College = YELLOW
🔴 Career = RED
🟢 Military = GREEN
Seniors will also receive their College Week Passport. Complete the activities throughout the week and turn it in Friday for a chance to win prizes!

It's application day! Seniors can visit the College Application Lab in Room 505 for help with ApplyTexas, Common App, and college applications.
