Congratulations to the graduates of Lamar State College Orange, the West Orange-Stark Early College High School cohort of 2026, and our WOS dual credit students! 🎉

This past Saturday, students received either their associate degree or a certificate of completion in a professional field of study BEFORE their high school diploma during the 2026 LSCO Commencement Ceremony. We're so proud of our Mustangs for the hard work and dedication they've put into this massive achievement! 🐎💙🤍

Mustangs, please note that the last day of school, May 21, is a FULL day, NOT a half day. This change was made in March to ensure the District met the minimum operational minutes required by the TEA.

With WOSHS Graduation just a few days away, we want to recognize our Top 10% graduates! These students worked incredibly hard to maintain their grades and to participate in various school, civic, and athletic organizations! These graduates will walk across the stage with #mustangmomentum as they begin the next exciting chapter of their lives!

his evening, the WOCCISD Board of Trustees wrapped up the school year by highlighting our Little Mustangs from North Early Learning Center! Camilla Ruiz started the meeting by leading everyone in the pledges. Then the Board recognized Lauren Willis as Teacher of the Month, Karlie Menard as the Employee of the Month, and Jordyn Robinson as the Student of the Month!

Also at this evening’s board meeting, Donny Teate Jr. and Tommy Wilson Sr. were sworn in to serve another term as Trustees. The Board also voted to keep Tricia Stroud, Roderick Robertson, and Demetrius Hunter in their roles of President, Vice President, and Secretary.

Starting Friday, May 22, Dan R. Hooks Stadium and field will be closed for repairs until further notice. The community will be notified once the stadium is open to the public again.

At the annual WOSHS Scholarship Night ceremony, our Mustangs earned a grand total of $1,898,150 in academic, athletic, and military scholarships! This total not only reflects the hard work of our students but also the unwavering support of the community and their dedication to our Mustangs!

Summer is right around the corner, and that means it's time for the West Orange-Cove CISD summer feeding program! This program provides free, nutritious meals for students during the summer so they can stay healthy and active. 🍎🥪🥦
All students under the age of 18 are welcome; they do not need to be enrolled at West Orange-Cove CISD to participate. Meals will be provided at the campuses below for the given dates, Monday through Thursday, with breakfast served from 7:30 - 8:30 a.m. and lunch served from 10:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.

Reading is its own reward, but the Mustangs at West Orange-Stark Elementary earned a little something extra for their effort. 📚

175 students from 1st through 5th grades who met their AR goals earned a field trip to Cinemark in Beaumont to watch The Sheep Detectives, a movie based on the 2005 best-selling novel, Three Bags Full. 🐑🐑🐑

They also enjoyed a fun movie snack pack with popcorn, a drink, and fruit snacks!

Way to go, Mustangs! Keep on reading!

It's the showdown you've been waiting for: the 4th Annual Students vs. Staff Kickball game at West Orange-Stark Elementary! Teachers and staff took on the winners of the 5th-grade kickball tournament, while students who achieved their 3 A's got to cheer on their classmates from the bleachers!

The students played hard, but this year the teachers came out on top with a dominating performance! It was a fun time for everyone, and a great reward for students who maintained their academics, attitude, and attendance!

The Little Mustangs at North Early Learning Center got to give back in a special way with a 'A Day to Pamper Mom.' Mothers indulged in several activity stations offering relaxing face masks, massages, yoga, and fresh fruit cups. Students enjoyed showing their moms how much their love, care, and support really mean!
