"The works in this exhibit represent the voices, ideas, and imaginations of local middle and high school artists around our community. Each piece is an echo of the moments they spent creating. Moments of experimentation, quiet focus, laughter with classmates, and discovery of personal expression.
Behind each of these artists is an art teacher who has taken the time to build a space where students feel safe, seen, and inspired."
Don't miss your chance to see these works in person; stop by the Dishman Art Museum at Lamar University today before 4 p.m.

They take part in cleaning up Newton Ave with the Adopt-a-Street program, plan homecoming activities, hold weekly meetings, and take part in many community charity events and activities.
Student Council members with the most hours throughout the year were rewarded with an incentive trip to Main Event in Beaumont! Thank you, Mustangs, for your leadership and hard work all year long!

Students accepted into the program would have the opportunity to work for a local manufacturing company as a paid intern while attending LSCO to work on the degree associated with their job.
On today's trip, students were able to network with representatives from companies like Cloeren Incorporated, Integrated Power Services, and Chevron Phillips Chemical; tour the facilities at LSCO; and hear from the college students who are currently enrolled in the program. These Mustangs gained valuable insight into a clear pathway from high school to high-demand, high-earning careers.
