Chevron Phillips Chemical Company presented a $2500 check to West Orange – Cove CISD recently in support of the Books on the Bus program at WOS Elementary. The new program provides the 750 WOS Elementary students who ride the bus to school and home daily with a literacy rich environment and a genre-rich selection of books to read while traveling.
Students expand upon their Books on the Bus reading each day by journaling their progression through the book. The program provides students with the opportunity to read more than 170 books through the end of the 2018-2019 school year.
