West Orange - Cove CISD is currently working through the process of becoming a District of Innovation.
The District of Innovation concept, passed by the 84th Legislative Session in House Bill 1842, gives traditional independent school districts flexibility through a customized plan. The proposed WOCCISD District of Innovation Plan has been forwarded to the Commissioner of Education.
WOCCISD will hold a public hearing regarding the District of Innovation proposal on Thursday, April 20, 2017 at 4 p.m. at the West Orange - Cove CISD Educational Service Center, 902 W. Park Avenue, Orange.
West Orange - Cove will present the proposed District of Innovation Plan to the Board of Trustees on May 22, 2017.
