West Orange-Stark Senior Khelvy Jefferson added another special accomplishment to an already memorable senior year when he was crowned the school's 2026 Homecoming King at Wednesday's Community Pep Rally. Surrounded by classmates, friends, family, and supporters, Jefferson celebrated the moment as the crowd recognized him for his accomplishments both on and off the football field.
Jefferson has become one of the most recognizable student-athletes at West Orange-Stark. As the Mustangs' star running back, he entered his senior season as the school's all-time leading rusher, with more than 4,000 career rushing yards.
His senior football season has already gotten off to an impressive start. In West Orange-Stark's season-opening victory over Newton, Jefferson rushed for 174 yards and scored five touchdowns. He followed that performance with 139 rushing yards and three touchdowns against Nederland, helping the Mustangs begin the season 2-0.
But on homecoming night, the spotlight belonged to Jefferson for a different reason.
Being named Homecoming King gave his classmates an opportunity to celebrate him beyond his accomplishments as a football player. The crown represented the support and respect he has earned throughout his time at West Orange-Stark.
For Jefferson, the honor makes his senior year even more memorable. Between leading the Mustangs on the football field and representing his school as homecoming King, 2026 is shaping up to be a season he and the West Orange-Stark community will never forget!
