"The Mustang Way: We are West Orange - Cove CISD" provides an introduction to the our district. This brief video shares images from our community, our campuses, and our schools; while, also sharing our mission, vision, and beliefs. The video also shares the origin of "112%," a concept embraced by our campuses and community.

Hello my name is Rickie Harris, Superintendent of schools for West Orange-Cove CISD I am so glad and excited to welcome you to our district. Our goal in this video is to give you an opportunity to see what we consider the "Mustang Way." Our goal for every West Orange-Stark graduate is to be college and career-ready, an effective communicator, and to continually grow and develop. We have a strong tradition. We focus on 112 percent commitment in everything we do. Our goal is to empower the lives of students through excellence every day. We would love for you to come and join our Mustang family. Tradition. Excellence. Empowerment. 112 Percent. All of these words and ideas are connected to West Orange-Cove Consolidated Independent School District. We are Southeast Texas open enrollment public school district rich with tradition and history, serving the communities of Orange, West Orange and Pinehurst. We are the home of the West Orange-Stark Mustangs. We are most recognized as a football powerhouse and are the 2015 and 2016 Texas State Football Champions in our respective division. Our history includes two additional state titles and a tradition of consistent appearances in the state playoffs;  but, Mustangs are also so much more. Five campuses empower students. Our Early College High School partnership with Lamar State College - Orange allows our students, beginning with the class of 2021, to earn 60 college hours, an Associate's college degree, and also a high school diploma. Dual credit courses are available at West Orange-Stark High School in a variety of subject areas. These courses are free for qualified students and transportation is provided for all. The High School also offers students multiple STEM -- Science Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics -- opportunities. The Career Center houses an exceptional Career and Technology program that offers variety and serves not only our students, but students from other districts in the area.  A phenomenal precision machine program has earned six state championships and a dozen other state titles. Students are also able to earn certificates in a number of Health Occupation fields in partnership with Lamar State College - Orange. Robotics programs competitive academic and literary opportunities, and band offerings begin at the elementary level, as well as opportunities for membership in honor society and service organizations. These programs continue at our Middle School where we also add engineering competitions. For our littlest Mustangs, North Early Learning Center provides students an amazing Head Start and serves eligible families county-wide. These highlights show only a small glimpse of what our campuses have to offer. In partnership with our community, our mission is to transform lives through an exceptional educational experience. Our vision is to empower lines through excellence every day. We believe That families are an integral part of the education process. In our tradition of Excellence. That diversity is valued. That learning should be our highest priority. That faith is the foundation of our community. That teachers are foundational to student success. At West Orange-Cove, we also encourage our students to perform at 112 percent. We do this in memory of an outstanding Mustang, Reggie Garrett, who wore the number 12 on his football jersey. He was an exemplary student and role model. Reggie always spoke of giving 112 percent in his class work and to his teams. The Mustang family has embraced his ideology and it is very much a part of our daily practice. 112% is the "Mustang Way."  We welcome you to join our team, our family, and be a Mustang!
