Admission

New students should bring their academic achievement record (transcript), STAAR scores, and health records from the previous school, as well as birth certificate, social security number, and proof of residency. Students must have been immunized against diphtheria, rubeola (measles), rubeola, tetanus, poliomyelitis and mumps. Kindergarten children must be five and first grade children must be six on or before September 1 to attend West Orange-Cove schools. Students entering kindergarten and first grade must present birth certificates showing they meet the age requirements for school attendance. The student's social security number and immunization record should also be presented. Openings are available in the North Early Learning Center preschool programs for children living in Orange County who will be 4 years old on or before September 1 and meet special guidelines.
